Macadamia
class ships are originally a public use container freighter.
It's upper and lower bodies are only connected by
the payloads it is carrying as the container itself has a strength
for space buildings.
And this useful system made
the ship to become an armed ship by mixing a missile pod containers
This idea worked well for the ship to defend
by herself and some ships were even used payloadfull of those
armament containers.
